MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m Nick.  IT’s Nice to meet you!

A candid (I swear!) | Underhill, VT (c. 2023)

Nick Tatakis is a resident of Burlington, Vermont and has 5+ years experience capturing beautiful photographs for clients. Nick is a graduate of the University of Vermont and currently holds a full-time position with the Vermont Department of Health. From his experience working at non-profit organizations and small businesses, he knows how important they are to the fabric of a community.

Nick knows how special certain moments of life are. Whether you’re graduating, promoting your new (or maturing!) business, or announcing something wonderful to friends and family, he knows how powerful a photograph is when you have an important message to share.

Reach out if you have questions about what we can create together or if you’re ready to book a session!

For Nick, photography is about documentation. Sure, photoshoots are often curated and styled, but you are remarkable for who you are and the story you want to share.

When you book a photoshoot, you’re setting an intention to create a record of your unique experience and share your perspective.

Nick works to make his photography services accessible to those who want it and especially for people with historically marginalized identities, small businesses, and non-profit organizations.

My    Photo   philosophy

It is my humble opinion that
your unique story
deserves to be photographed.

 FAQs

  • To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a left-handed camera lens!

Being left handed, I’ve encountered close to the gamut of nonsensical left-hander jokes (think: a “left-handed screwdriver”). I landed on LEFT HANDED LENS because I think photos are the product of experiences. At the end of the day, I want to bring into the world photos that reflect you and your experiences.

Let’s make your photos unique, joyful … and maybe even a tad nonsensical!

  • Depending on the photo package you select (and therefore the number of photos you are receiving), photo processing will take up to 14 days. When photos are ready, they will be sent to you via DropBox for download.

For specialty prints, I recommend contacting LeZot Camera, a print shop in downtown Burlington, VT.

  • I am not a wedding, boudoir, or newborn photographer. Dog photos can be successful, cat photos not so much.
